At the company's service center, major servicing and repairs can be carried out on both butt welding machines and electrofusion welding machines. For major repairs to butt welding machines, a new pressure characteristic may be required. Our services are provided for all nationally distributed brands, for both butt welding machines and electrofusion welding machines.
For companies with multiple machines, we prepare quotes based on information on machine size, machine type, and quantity. Calibration of butt welding machines can be carried out at your premises, offering greater flexibility. Alternatively, you can send your machine to our service center, where our experienced technicians are ready to help.
Calibration of plastic welding equipment
Basically, there is no legal requirement to send your machines for calibration, but the client may require the contractor to ensure that machines used for welding pressure-bearing pipe systems are calibrated in accordance with the DS/INSTA 2072-6 certification rules.
However, we recommend that, as a minimum, you send your machine for calibration once a year to ensure that it is fully operational. Regular servicing helps prevent major damage by identifying worn parts and potential problems early, which can prevent costly repairs and unexpected breakdowns.
When you send your butt welding machine for calibration, you will receive a machine-specific pressure characteristic for use in butt welding, as well as a test report for your company's quality assurance. Calibration of butt welding machines is carried out in accordance with DS/INSTA 2072-6.
For electrofusion welding machines, the company issues a calibration report showing that the machine meets the welding parameters for the machine. This test report is likewise for the company's quality assurance.
Service/Notification scheme
The calibration report and pressure characteristics are valid for 1 year. As a service to our customers, we offer to send a reminder approximately 1 month in advance of when the machine in question is due for calibration.
We retain all prepared pressure characteristics and reports for a minimum of 2 years.
